A few points to get you started on the road
to success
The minimum age for a UK provisional
licence is currently 17, There has been talk of this age increasing to 18
however nothing has been confirmed as yet. If you are over 17 but have not
held a licence before you must apply for a provisional licence before you
start driving lessons.
You can apply for your licence up to
2 months before your licence is due to start. You must not drive on the
road until your licence has arrived and only then on or after your 17th
birthday. You can apply at any Post office using a D1 form or online
